Director of Student Financial Assistance
Summary of Responsibilities: The Director of Student Financial Assistance works under the general direction of the Dean of Student Services. The Director is responsible for managing the student financial aid program including federal, state and local funds. The Director is responsible for interpreting and applying federal laws and regulations, college policies and procedures and state regulations applicable to the delivery of student financial aid. This position is responsible for training, assigning, supervising and evaluating applicable staff.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in student personnel, business or a related area required. Master’s degree highly desirable. Three years of progressively responsible experience in financial aid, preferably at a community college tier. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Benefits provided by the college include Oklahoma Teachers’ Retirement, group health and dental insurance, life insurance equivalent to two times the annual contract salary, and long term disability. A tax-sheltered annuity wherein the college contributes 3.5% of any employee’s annual salary is available after one year of employment.
