Unfortunately we read it to mean any first disbursement from here on, during the sequester so per DOE recommendation, we plan on delaying further TEACH Grant 1st disbursements and approving any new TEACH awards until further notice from the feds.  We are notifying our College of Education about this as well.

If I have this interpreted incorrectly, someone out there please correct me.

I have read the announcement from last Friday and I'm concerned about the affect on Teach.

I may be dense (no affirmation needed here), but am I understanding that we are to not make any first TEACH disbursements for students for 1213 until further notice from ED?  I hope I'm misunderstanding it and it should be for 1314.
