I posted this link on the OASFAA Facebook page as well, but for those of you who aren't fans yet, I wanted to get this out on the OASFAA listserv as well to cover as many bases as possible.  UCSB FA folks do this every year and it is a fantastic tool.  We have been placing it on our website for several years.

Notice that the IRS DRT tutorial hasn't been updated in regards to 14-15 completion, since the IRS DRT isn't actually available yet.

As hard as it is to believe, it is 2014-2015 FAFSA time already. As we have=  done for the past several years now, the staff and students from the Offic= e of Financial Aid and Scholarships at UC Santa Barbara produced the Seven = Easy Steps to the FAFSA: A Student's Guide to the Free Application for Fede= ral Student Aid tutorial. If you would like to use the tutorial, you have o= ur permission....we create it for all to use, so please spread the word.

Below you will find two ways to use the tutorial. The first is to simply li= nk to our site and the second is to use the files to embed the tutorial on = your departmental site. This will allow you to make some changes/enhancemen= ts if you would like.

In addition to the FAFSA tutorial, we also produce one to assist students a= nd parents with the IRSDR process so keep an eye out for that release as we= ll. Thank you and Happy New Year to all.
