Mendy has done an excellent job of serving as the Oklahoma Delegate for SWASFAA this year, and I'm excited that she agreed to chair the Leadership Development Committee as well.  We're lucky to have her in our state!

For those of you who have not yet signed up for the SWASFAA blog, I wanted to pass along some important information about the new Leadership Development Workshop.  If you haven't signed up to receive blog updates, I highly encourage you to do so.  You can find it at www.swasfaa.org/b.

This year, the Leadership Development Committee was formed with the directive of formulating and implementing leadership development opportunities for the SWASFAA membership.  The committee is currently busy putting together the first annual Leadership Development Workshop, to be held Wednesday, November 5th, immediately preceding the annual SWASFAA conference.

Please consider joining us at the conference hotel, Harrah's New Orleans, for a packed agenda that will involve a hot breakfast, the True Colors assessment tool, practical applications of the True Colors assessment in the financial aid office and in life, and "speed dating" with your SWASFAA Board and Committee chairs, Justin Draeger, NASFAA President, and Eileen O'Leary, who, by then, will be serving as NASFAA National Chair.
