Are you ready to get involved in SWASFAA?  The President-Elect, Secretary-Elect, and Oklahoma Delegate positions will need nominations.  I can easily say that my involvement with SWASFAA has been extremely fulfilling, and it has been my pleasure and an honor to serve you all as the Oklahoma Delegate to the SWASFAA Board, but my time in that position is quickly drawing to a close.  Now your Oklahoma colleagues need to continue to have strong representation on the Board.

Will it be you?  Or can you think of someone who would be a perfect fit?  Nominate a colleague, or don't be shy--volunteer your own name!

Are you interested in serving in a leadership position with SWASFAA or would like to nominate someone else to serve? The SWASFAA Nominations and Elections Committee is opening up the opportunity to nominate yourself or another for a leadership position for 2016. Nominators must complete the attached nomination form. The deadline for nominating someone for a 2016 SWASFAA Board position is July 1, 2015. 

Positions for which nominations are sought include:
SWASFAA President-Elect
SWASFAA Secretary-Elect
Oklahoma Delegate-at-Large
Texas Delegate-at-Large
Descriptions of the duties of each of these offices may be found at the SWASFAA website in the policy and procedures section http://www.swasfaa.org/docs/whoweare/policies/PandPManual.pdf. Please submit information regarding yourself or someone you would like to nominate via one of the members of the Nominations and Election Committee members' respective email addresses.  Members of the committee are listed below.  Any one nominated must hold regular membership in the Association, and must first be contacted by the nominator and must agree to be placed on the ballot.

If you have already volunteered or been nominated for consideration for the SWASFAA ballot for 2016, please confirm your interest in being considered for the ballot by email to the NEC member and the Chair no later than July 1st. Please include with your confirmation email, the standardized resume' form and a picture to be included when the ballot is announced to the membership.

The official slate will be developed by the NEC committee no later than July 31st.  The elections will open no later than September 15th and will remain open at least 10 days.  The election will close by Oct 1st each year and results will be announced at the annual conference in November.
