Greetings SWASFAA! 

Just a few updates from your conference and local arrangements committees. 

HOTEL- Today is the last day to secure a hotel room at the Sandia Resort & Casino at the conference rate. If you have any problems making the reservations online, just call 877-272-9199 and mention the SWASFAA group. Information about the hotel and scheduling the FREE AIRPORT SHUTTLE can be found http://swasfaa.org/docs/conferences/site/hotel.html

SILENT AUCTION - Don't forget to bring an item to donate for the silent auction.  Money raised helps fund the Logan Ware Professional Development Scholarship which helps defray the cost of professional development for individuals whom would otherwise not be able to attend the SWASFAA Annual Conference or Boot Camp due to institutional budgetary constraints.  In the past, members donated: gift baskets, wine, holiday themed items, children's toys, packaged food, electronics, artwork, and books. Unable to fit a gift basket in your suitcase? Consider donating a gift card.  

THURSDAY'S SOCIAL: Thursday evening there will be roundtrip transportation provided for ALL SWASFAA guests from the Sandia Resort Hotel to our beautiful, historic "Albuquerque Old Town" for dinner at "La Hacienda del Rio" restaurant. During dinner there will be traditional Mariachi music performed by none other than "Nuevo Sonido Band" who has played at such events as the opening ceremony for the 2012 London Olympics. After dinner, guests are welcome to walk and shop 'til you drop!
