[Oasfaa] Monday, April 18 - Last Day to Register for OASFAA Conference

Don't forget to register for the 2017 OASFAA Win Big with Financial Aid Conference by April 18, 2017.  After April 18, there will be a $25 late fee for registration.

Also, if you have registered and have since found out you cannot attend, you need to let us know you won't be attending before April 18, 2017 or you will be charged for the conference registration as we will be responsible for all the meals and costs associated with your registration.

I have attached an agenda, please note, if you are attending the session 2 on Wednesday - 3:15 "Hand on R2T4 for Clock Hour Programs", it is recommended to bring a laptop to do hands on participation.

Service Project Information:

This year's OASFAA service project organization is New Hope Oklahoma.
New Hope Oklahoma is a Tulsa-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to Oklahoma children with parents in prison. Their programs consist of summer camps, after-school programs, community-based programs, weekend retreats, family gatherings, and case management services. All programs are offered free of charge to qualifying children. These programs are possible through individual and corporate donations, foundational and federal grants, trained volunteers and a highly qualified staff.
New Hope is changing the lives of children of Oklahoma prisoners every day. When a child's parent goes to prison, many important developmental milestones are put in jeopardy and children suffer, but New Hope is working to break the intergenerational cycle incarceration in the state of Oklahoma. Through their life affirming programs, children are lifted from isolation and fear into possibility and hope.
All proceeds made from the 2017 OASFAA conference basket raffle in April will be donated to this worthy cause so be sure and bring extra money to help make a difference in the lives of these children and Oklahoma as a whole. If you would like to donate any items we can raffle off, please let Machelle Ellis know, we would love more baskets and items.
We are also asking you to donate items New Hope can utilize for their summer programs.  Here is a list of items needed.

The final item is that we want to make this a casual conference again this year, so let's show our team pride and wear jeans and our school or favorite team t-shirts for the conference.
