[Oasfaa] SWASFAA volunteer opportunities

Good Morning OASFAA!!

Have you been looking for a way to network and make connections at the regional level?  There is a great opportunity to do so by volunteering with SWASFAA!  There are a few committees that are seeking for volunteers from Oklahoma. You or your school does need to be a current SWASFAA member, however, the dues are minimal compared to the benefits you and your school will have access to as members. The committees needing help and their descriptions are listed below...

The Annual Conference committee is charged with designing a conference program that will meet the professional needs of the SWASFAA membership.  The conference will be November 7-9 in Little Rock, AR at the Doubletree by Hilton and Robinson Convention Center.  Most of the committee meetings will occur via conference call throughout the summer and fall, but there will be a site visit to Little Rock planned sometime over the summer. The Local Arrangements Committee is charged with planning and executing the local arrangements of the SWASFAA Annual Conference.  Anyone interested in serving on the committee can contact Emily Patterson at epatters at uark.edu<mailto:epatters at uark.edu>.

The Training and Continuing Education committee is charged with developing training opportunities for the Association.  Do you like to present? Are you good at training?  Then this committee is for you!  All of the committee meetings and training events will be done via Zoom web conferences so there is no travel required. The greatest asset we have as professionals is each other!  Please consider getting involved at either the state or regional level to strengthen your connections and build your network of professionals that you can lean on for guidance when the need arises.
