You probably read the subject line and thought "what traffic on the OASFAA listserv?" Exactly my point! We need to create some traffic. I'm not asking to fill up your mailbox unnecessarily, we all get too many emails as it is. I'm asking that you remember that the OASFAA listserv can be a really powerful resource, but you have to use it!

If you have colleagues in the office who aren't signed up for it, please forward this email to them. They can sign up by starting here<http://oasfaaok.org/mailing-list>. It's only going to take a second to get signed up.

The members of the listserv are your financial aid colleagues across the state. You do not have to be a paid member of OASFAA to access the listserv (but I highly encourage you to renew or become a member<http://oasfaaok.org/forms-documents> of OASFAA - we've got a great year planned!). Use the listserv to ask questions, to generate discussion, and to post jobs you have in your office. Why wouldn't you want to reach as many of your fellow Oklahoma financial aid administrators as possible?

The OASFAA Board<http://oasfaaok.org/board-members> uses the listserv to let you know about Board meetings, training opportunities, and the annual conference. The Regents use it to inform and remind us about program information and deadlines. These are all things you want to keep up on!

I serve as the Electronic Initiatives Chair for the OASFAA Board. In addition to other things, I also manage the OASFAA Facebook page. If you haven't liked it already, please search for "Oklahoma Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators." I try to share interesting articles, deadlines reminders, conference information, etc. If you would like me to, I'm happy to post your aid office job openings for additional exposure.
