[Oasfaa] Feb. 28th OASFAA Board of Directors meeting

HAPPY MONDAY OASFAA!!

It's your 2019-2020 OASFAA Secretary here to give a quick update from last Friday's BOD meeting as promised... here's what was discussed!


  *   Karen Jeffers regretfully resigned from her Conference Committee chair position. Conference Program Committee chairs, Audra Main and Melinda Simpson, will assume the responsibilities and continue Karen's great work.
  *   Spring Training IS HERE!!!  It is being held this Thursday, April 5th in Tulsa. You should have received the email about registration... be sure to take advantage of this VERY cost effective training. It's only $10 for members AND the morning session qualifies you for a NASFAA credential!
  *   CONFERENCE, CONFERENCE AND MORE CONFERENCE! Hopefully everyone knows by now that the 2020 OASFAA Conference is at the Reed Conference Center in Midwest City, OK on April 1st - 3rd. Hotel reservations are already available and conference registration will be opening soon! DO NOT MISS OUT on this great opportunity for professional and personal development... with a little bit (or a whole lot) of fun on the side! If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to the Conference Chairs: Audra Main (audra.main at mntc.edu<mailto:audra.main at mntc.edu>) and/or Melinda Simpson (msimpson at matech.edu<mailto:msimpson at matech.edu>). Lastly... keep your eyes on the listserv for more updates and info... I hear there is a contest brewing...
  *   The new OASFAA website is up and running! You will start to see new and improved services from the OASFAA website. If you have any troubles or questions, let us know!
  *   Don't forget that you can renew your institution's membership via the new website! And be sure to renew before you register for spring training or the conference to get the reduced member price!
  *   The 2020 - 2021 Officer ballot has been filled and accepted by the board. More information will be coming soon!
  *   More discussion was had about the possibility of joining with SWASFAA for the 2021 conference... there's more discussion to be had.

That's the brief highlights of A LOT of work going on! Your OASFAA Board will meet next on Tuesday, March 31st at the Reed Conference Center. Let us know if there is anything we can do for you!!
