[Oasfaa] Presidential Greeting and OASFAA Election Results

Greetings OASFAA,

Can I just say, I MISS YOU GUYS!  August has vanished and September is flying by!  I hope each of you have had a wonderful start to your school year.  I want to thank our members for patience and understanding as your OASFAA Board reexamines and adjusts to how we do business during the COVID pandemic.

I have learned so much over the last few months about technology, communication, and the importance of prioritizing one's physical and mental health.  YES, haven't we all!

As the new norm has changed significantly, your OASFAA Board is eager to accept the challenges and I am so grateful for their service as together we meet the needs of our members.

Speaking of OASFAA Board, the election results are in and it is my pleasure to WELCOME our new board members as follows:

President-Elect - Diana Sanders, OSU-Center for Health Sciences

Treasurer-Elect - Melanie Rinehart, Seminole State College

Secretary - Crystal Armstrong, Carl Albert State College

Delegate-at-Large - Ashley Hernandez-Torres, Meridian Technology Center

OASFAA completely depends on our many volunteers and I'm so proud and want to thank everyone who ran for a board position or volunteered to serve on one of our many committees.  It's encouraging to see an increased interest in OASFAA and the future looks bright!  OASFAA is made up of so many talented and dedicated members and honestly we are more like family.  We have learned to lean on each other and this is so comforting especially in difficult times like we are all facing.  Please reach out to me or any of our board members if you have questions, need help, have suggestions, or if you would like to volunteer your services to OASFAA.

In closing, as we face whatever obstacles are presented this school year, I hope that you will remain positive and continue to always look on the brighter side of life.  I'm honored to serve as your President and look forward to serving our association and working with each of you.
