Langston University is accepting early nominations for the position of the University Registrar which will be advertised nationally within the next two weeks. Please review and broadly share the attached position description within your network, specifically individuals with experience in a registrar's office who are seeking leadership opportunities. We seek a student-focused, process-oriented visionary who will oversee all aspects of academic records management and services. The selected person can begin as early as mid-July 2021.


For those unfamiliar with the institution, Langston University is Oklahoma’s only historically black university (HBCU). Approximately 2,200 students are enrolled in programs offered in Langston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and Ardmore. The Langston campus generally serves the traditional college-age population by offering programs at the associate and bachelor’s degree levels. Also housed at the Langston campus is the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. The LU-OKC and LU-Tulsa locations primarily serve the non-traditional student population through upper-division courses in select majors as well as master’s degrees in education, rehabilitation counseling, and entrepreneurial studies. The Ardmore location offers upper-level courses for a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Research is an essential component of Langston University’s land-grant mission. Substantial grants, contracts, and cooperative agreements have been awarded in biology, rehabilitation counseling, and agriculture. The E. (Kika) de la Garza American Institute for Goat Research attracts research scientists, agricultural specialists, and other visitors from across the country and the world.
