[Oasfaa] Accepting government issued IDs

Dear fellow FAA,

We have been having a discussion about  employees NOT in the financial aid department accepting government issued IDs at additional sites.

In the case of the financial aid liaison being out of the office, we are concerned that the employee NOT employed in the financial aid office may accept and make a copy of a government issued ID that is fraudulent.  We would only accept the copy in the main financial aid office and have no way to verify that it is not a fake.

How would you handle this issue?   Would you ask the student providing the government issued ID to sign a statement such as the statement in a V4?
