[Oasfaa] OASFAA-New OTAG Question

I hope all is going well with all of you this week!

I want to follow up on a question asked at the OASFAA conference during our session addressing the upcoming changes to the OTAG program.

The question:  If a student is technically Pell eligible at full-time but would not receive a disbursement of Pell because of less than full-time enrollment (dropping off the Pell chart), could the student be given an OTAG disbursement during that payment period?

Answer: After a careful analysis of the administrative rules for the program, we need to let you know that a student in the above scenario would not be eligible for an OTAG disbursement for that payment period.

A student needs to be receiving a Pell payment for the payment period in question to be eligible for an OTAG disbursement.

We will be monitoring issues and outcomes, and we would appreciate your input on suggestions to make the program more efficient and effective.
