[Oasfaa] FW: [EXTERNAL] Conference Mentors Still Needed

For those of you who are attending the NASFAA conference later this month (later this month?? How is it June??), this is a great opportunity – on either side of the arrangement as a first-time attendee or as someone who has several conferences under their belt. You may not be new to financial aid, but this gives you a chance to be paired with a colleague and creates a really fun reason to chat with someone you may or may not otherwise get the opportunity to meet.

Dear Mendy,

Think back to your first NASFAA conference. Did you attend the conference with colleagues from your school or go by yourself? Were you overwhelmed by session choices? Did you meet and network with any new colleagues, especially from your own state or region? Did you dine alone at night or go out with new friends?

How would your first conference experience have been different if you had been provided a conference mentor?

Someone who knows your name and can show you the ropes. Someone to meet for coffee or dinner. Someone to keep in touch with after the conference and see year-after-year at future conferences.

You can be that someone!
