Last Friday, the Legislature gave final approval to SB 1673 and sent it to the Governor for his consideration. If approved by the Governor, the bill would establish three family income limits for application to the OKPromise program in grades 8-11 based on the number of dependent children in the family (see the details below). If approved, the changes would become effective for the 2022-23 school year.
* Senate Bill 1673 (Senator Adam Pugh and Representative Jadine Nollan) Oklahoma's Promise - Adjusts the application family income limit based on the number of dependent children -- $60,000 for families with 1-2 dependent children, $70,000 for families with 3-4 dependent children, and $80,000 for families with 5 or more dependent children.
