HB1011 by Rep. Mark Vancuren: requires an Education Employee Assistance Program be created within the Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. It permits the program to provide assistance to public school districts in the management of employees whose personal problems may have a negative impact on job performance; assessment, referral, consultation, and problem resolution assistance to school district employees and their family members seeking corrective help with medical or mental health problems, including alcohol or drug abuse and emotional, marital, familial, financial, or other personal problems.

Avery Frix: requires the Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES), in conjunction with the Oklahoma Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS), to establish a mechanism for vested employees retiring from state service to elect to transfer unused sick and annual leave in excess of the limits set forth in statute to be used for the retiree and his or her dependents' benefit allowance upon retirement. It requires annual leave to be transferred at the standard benefit allowance rate for the calendar year.

Ally Seifried: exempts from the definition of the term "employee" within the Administrative Workers' Compensation Act any person engaging in a temporary work arrangement that allows the individual to observe a work environment and gain work experience without the expectation of financial compensation.

Mark Mann: requires the Oklahoma Department of Veterans Affairs establish its headquarters and a veterans resource center in Del City that provides information and referral services to connect veterans with available public and private services. It requires any state agency that provides any services to veterans collaborate with the department to provide services through the veterans resource center established.

SB0168 by Sen. Carri Hicks: requires any agency or entity of the state, or any person making purchases on behalf of an agency or entity, require any contract for the construction, reconstruction, alteration, repair, improvement, or maintenance of a public building or public work with an estimated contract price exceeding $100,000 to state that all iron, steel, and aluminum to be used in the completion of such contract shall be manufactured or produced in the United States. It also requires all solicitation documents for such contracts clearly state the requirement.

SB0178 by Sen. David Bullard: requires all state agencies that own, operate, and utilize motor vehicles be responsible for the purchase, management, and maintenance of motor vehicles for the agency. It requires each agency promulgate rules, develop a plan for routine maintenance and inspection, and maintain accurate recordkeeping for all motor vehicles within the fleet for reporting as prescribed by law.
