Good Morning All!,
As we approach the end of another year, it's time to reflect on the exceptional contributions made by our colleagues and peers. The OASFAA awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate those who have gone above and beyond in our field.
We are excited to invite you to submit nominations. This is your chance to recognize individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication, innovation, and service in the realm of financial aid.
Please take a few moments to think about the colleagues who have made a significant impact this year. Whether they have introduced groundbreaking initiatives, provided exceptional support to students, or shown unwavering commitment to their profession, we want to hear about them. Your nominations are invaluable in ensuring we acknowledge and honor the remarkable efforts within our community.
Descriptions of the awards are below.
To submit your nominations, please email me with the name and award you would like to nominate them for. You must be an active OASFAA member to nominate someone.
Thank you in advance for your participation and for helping us recognize the excellence within OASFAA. If you have any questions or need further information, please do not hesitate to reach out.

OASFAA President-Elect
* Philo Brasher Emerging Leadership Award:
This award was established by SWASFAA in honor of Philo Brasher who served many years in the Association. The recipient should be an individual who has served OASFAA and made a contribution to the Association. OASFAA will pay the registration fee to the SWASFAA annual conference on behalf of the Oklahoma award winner. OASFAA will also match the $250 that SWASFAA donates to the general scholarship fund of the recipient’s school.
* Honorary Membership Award:
Honorary Membership in OASFAA is the highest honor that the Association can bestow on a person who is neither a member nor affiliated with a member organization. Since this is the highest award that OASFAA can give, the individual receiving it must have made truly outstanding contributions to the Association and to the profession over a sustained period of time.
* Distinguished Service Award:
This award is intended to recognize a practicing student financial aid professional at an institution. He/she should have contributed unique and long-lasting efforts to the Association, the profession, or the cause of financial aid in Oklahoma. Only active members of the association are eligible for nomination.
* Partner Award:
A Partner Award may be made by the Association to another individual, not a practicing aid administrator, whose efforts are important to advancing the profession or the needs of students in Oklahoma.
