Oklahoma's Promise and Higher Education Higher Education Day & Oklahoma Promise will be on April 15th. Additional details will be sent after the upcoming Spring Break.
Another legislative week is complete and a short week approaches for Spring Break. The House and Senate will be in session on Monday and Tuesday of next week, with both chambers taking Wednesday and Thursday off from activities. Our updated bill list is included below. While a number of bills are not moving forward after last week's deadline, there are still a significant number we are tracking. SB0896 by Sen. Micheal Bergstrom: requires any permanent rule promulgated or amended on or after the effective date to automatically terminate pursuant to the schedule prescribed. It requires the Secretary of State to develop a schedule, subject to approval by the President Pro Tempore of the State Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the Administrative Rules Committee chairs of both houses, for the initial expiration of the administrative rules of each state agency.

It requires, subject to the availability of funds, the amount of assistance be equivalent to the amount of tuition for a career and technology program in which the eligible Guard member is enrolled leading to certification or licensure, not to exceed a maximum of three years
