[Oasfaa] HELC Webinar on OB3

Hello friends and colleagues,

I am writing to request your assistance in sharing the word about the upcoming HELC (Higher Education Loan Coalition<https://higheredloancoalition.org/>) webinar scheduled for December 3 from 1:00 to 3:00 Eastern. If you would be willing to share information about this with your members, and also with your state presidents for them to share with their state membership, I would greatly appreciate it. The webinar is free and open to all!

With the holiday ahead, I know time is short.  It would be great if you could get a message out to members today or tomorrow, as next week is the holiday, and the event is the week following!  We have over 1700 individual registered already, but we are hoping to make sure that all who would like to attend are informed about the opportunity.

The webinar, entitled “HELC Presents: Transitions Ahead – The One Big Beautiful Bill”, will review the big changes coming from OB3 to student and parent loans, and review what schools should be doing now to prepare. As you know, big changes are coming to graduate and undergraduate financial aid for the 2026-27 academic year, and schools should be taking steps now to get ready. We will have leading financial aid experts who will share what you need to know now.

The webinar will consist of 4 sections:

  *   Review of the changes coming from OB3
  *   Private lender panel discussing the private student loan marketplace
  *   What schools should be doing now to prepare for the changes ahead
  *   A review of TILA and Preferred Lender requirements

There will also be Q&A offered.

The Higher Education Loan Coalition (HELC)  is comprised of schools dedicated to the continuous improvement and strengthening of the student loan programs. Its members are financial aid professionals working at participating institutions.
