A NOTE FROM THE PRESIDENT
As you prepare for this year’s conference, I wanted to share an update about a change that reflects both the realities of rising costs and an opportunity to think creatively. Both of which all Financial Aid professionals have become very familiar with in recent years. This year, you’ll notice that our conference trainings will not be held at the conference hotel. While this is a shift from previous years, it’s a change we’re genuinely excited about and believe will be a positive step forward for OASFAA.
By holding our training sessions off-site, we’re able to manage conference costs more thoughtfully while still delivering meaningful, high-quality professional development for you. This approach not only helps us stretch our resources further but also allows us to invest savings back into the organization, supporting future programming, new ideas, and opportunities that benefit our members long-term.
We’re also excited to kick off the conference a little differently this year by starting with lunch for all attendees on Wednesday. Immediately following the NASFAA credentialing pre-conference training, we’ll gather together for lunch and officially launch the conference with an introduction to our service project. This gives us a great opportunity to bring everyone together right away, set the tone for the week, and highlight the meaningful work we’ll be supporting as an association.
We’re hopeful this fresh approach will be a positive change and add new energy to the conference experience. Thank you for your flexibility, your enthusiasm, and your continued support as we explore new ways to serve our members well.
We can’t wait to learn, connect, and grow together at this year’s conference!
