FINANCIAL AID COUNSELOR
Pittsburg State University


DESCRIPTION: The Financial Aid Counselor reports to the Director of
Student Financial Assistance and is responsible for providing financial
aid counseling to new and currently enrolled students.  Responsibilities
would include needs analysis, packaging and awarding financial aid.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree is required and at least one year of
financial aid experience is strongly preferred. Must have a strong
commitment to student service, the ability to work independently and a
commitment to a team environment.

TERMS OF
APPOINTMENT:  Annual 12-month appointment preferably beginning June 11,
2001.  A competitive salary is commensurate with experience and includes
a competitive benefits package.

INSTITUTION: Pittsburg State University is in Pittsburg, Kansas, which
is located 120 miles south of Kansas City.  It is one of six
universities in the Kansas Board of Regents system.  The institution
confers degrees in 21 academic areas and has an enrollment of
approximately 6,500, of which more than 300 come from over 40 countries.
