Assistant Director of Student Financial Services

Carleton College in Northfield, MN seeks an Assistant Director of Student Financial Service to assist in the coordination and review of financial aid applications, packaging and awarding of aid, and the proper distribution of institutional, state and federal funds.  This position will also interact with and provide counsel to students and families about financing a high cost college education.  This position
will involve the use of financial aid need analysis, understanding and interpretation of government rules and regulations, and the exercise of thoughtful judgments in decision making.  

Qualifications:  Candidates must hold a Bachelors Degree and have some office, administrative or counseling experience, preferably at a selective liberal arts college.  Individuals who have worked with
financial aid calculations are especially encouraged to apply.  All candidates must be able to work independently, communicate effectively and be motivated to assist students and their families in affording a
high cost college.
