Director of Student Financial Aid
The Office of Student Financial Services is seeking a service-oriented
individual with excellent leadership skills to direct The University of
Oklahoma Health Sciences Center Financial Aid staff. The University of
Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, located in Oklahoma City, with an
enrollment of 2,800 students, offers undergraduate, graduate and
professional degree programs through seven health professional colleges.
The Director reports to the Vice Provost for Academic and Student
Affairs and has responsibility to administer all financial aid programs
in accordance with applicable federal, state and institutional
regulations and policies. The Office of Financial Aid awards in excess
of $35 million annually to 2,000 students. Responsibilities include:
Direct and administer all functions of the Office of Financial Aid;
Develop and maintain all procedures to ensure compliance with Title IV,
Title VII, and all other financial aid regulations; Lead the team of
financial aid professionals in providing excellent service to the
students; Oversee the preparation of federal, state and institutional
reports and coordinate these activities with the Norman campus when
necessary; Direct efforts to develop and maintain a computerized
financial aid system (OUHSC is in transition to PeopleSoft Student
Administration system).
The individual must have excellent analytical, organizational and
communication skills and a commitment to cultural diversity. A bachelor
degree is expected with a minimum of 5 years financial aid experience
with progressive responsibilities including supervisory experience and
proven management skills working as a team member in a student-oriented
staff within a university setting. The OU Health Sciences Center will
go live on PeopleSoft Student Administration in March 2002. The
successful applicant must either have PeopleSoft application knowledge
and skills or acquire the knowledge and skills within a reasonable time
in order to direct the operation and function of the Office.
