[Oasfaa] Update on Bills to Repeal Tuition Scholarship Program

The two bills that include the repeal of the Oklahoma Tuition Scholarship Program were approved on the floors of their respective legislative houses last week.

SB 1523 passed the Oklahoma Senate by a 42-0 vote on March 5.  The bill will next be considered in the House Higher Education Committee.

HB 1440 passed the Oklahoma House of Representatives by a vote of 89-4 on March 7.  The bill has not been assigned to a committee in the Senate yet, but will likely be assigned to either the Senate Education Committee or the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Education.
