[Oasfaa] OTAG Deadline Reminder

In an effort to have fall 2002 OTAG disbursement activity completed before the end of the fall semester, November 15 is the deadline for RECEIPT in the OTAG office of fall semester award transfers and reinstatement requests or supplemental disbursement requests.  This November 15 deadline was announced at the beginning of the 2002-2003 award year and again at the spring 2002 OASFAA conference.  Students were informed of the November 15 deadline for fall award transfers or reinstatement requests in the award information they received from OTAG. 

This November 15 deadline is only for students PREVIOUSLY AWARDED by OTAG for 2002-2003.  As announced earlier, there are no funds available for additional new awards, and at this point we do not anticipate that funds will become available for new awards for the remainder of the 2002-2003 award year.   The final fall 2002 Confirmation Report is scheduled to be issued on November 19.  If you have awards remaining to be disbursed at that time, you will automatically receive a report on this date whether or not you previously scheduled your school to receive one.

Additional Reminders:  
*	Requests for supplemental disbursements can only be processed AFTER OTAG has received a completed Disbursement Report which confirms receipt of the previous partial disbursement of funds to the student for whom the supplemental request is being made.  If you submit a supplemental disbursement request, you will need to ensure that the Disbursement Report confirming that the student's earlier disbursement has been issued is received by the OTAG office on or before November 15.
*	If you have awards on hold due to conflicting ISIR information (student awarded based on one EFC and a subsequent ISIR transaction has now been received reflecting a different EFC that affects the student's eligibility to receive the funds already awarded), you will need to respond to our e-mail request for confirmation of the EFC you have recognized in packaging no later than November 15.

If you have staff not subscribed to the OASFAA list serv who are responsible for submitting OTAG updates for your students, please inform them of this November 15 deadline.  We anticipate that additional updates for previously awarded students will be quite limited in volume this late in the semester.  If you will be attending the OASFAA conference, you are encouraged to ensure that your updates for previously awarded students are submitted to the OTAG office in advance of leaving for the conference, as this deadline will not be extended.
