<BR>Avila College (see www.avila.edu), a Catholic institution sponsored  by

<BR>the Sisters of St. Joseph in suburban Kansas City, Missouri, seeks a

<BR>dynamic, experienced Director of Financial Aid.  As the chief financial

<BR>aid administrator, the Director of Financial Aid reports to the

<BR>Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs and supervises two

<BR>professional and one support staff.

<BR>

<BR>The new Director of Financial Aid will be responsible for day-to-day

<BR>leadership and performance of the Financial Aid Department; he/she will

<BR>manage all office personnel and systems to ensure the timely delivery of

<BR>institutional, federal, state and private financial assistance to

<BR>eligible Avila students in compliance with government regulations and

<BR>College policies and procedures.  Under the guidance of the new

<BR>Director, the Financial Aid Department is expected to continue or exceed

<BR>it's current level of excellence as evidenced by the College's low

<BR>Stafford Loan default rate (most recent:  3.8%), record of no material

<BR>audit findings in many years, and a student satisfaction with services

<BR>rate of 95%.

<BR>The applicant must possess a Bachelor's Degree (Master's preferred) and

<BR>have at least five years of financial aid experience, including a

<BR>minimum of two years supervisory experience.   In addition, the

<BR>applicant must be familiar with the relevant technology and data

<BR>exchanges, have detailed knowledge of Title IV regulations, and be able

<BR>to perform all necessary reporting functions.

<BR>The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and

<BR>education.
