The Assistant Director will meet with and monitor appropriate university involvement with student lending representatives and seek advantages in borrowing and repayment incentives. The Assistant Director will process application documents, calculate awards, and help enforce the university's satisfactory academic progress policy. The Assistant Director will counsel students and families on the financial aid process and procedures, and will work closely with the Office of Admissions, Business Office, and Office of Development to meet enrollment goals.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Assistant Director will help develop financial aid information pieces.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The candidate must have a bachelor's degree or 5 years </SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">experience in the area of </SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 12.0pt">financial aid, and possess a thorough understanding of federal and state regulations governing the awarding of aid.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The candidate must have experience with financial aid computer systems, preferably Datatel.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The candidate must have strong analytical and communication skills.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN></SPAN><SPAN style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt">Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Interested candidates should send a letter of interest, a resume, and three references to:</SPAN></FONT></P>
