Aid Advisors<BR>DATE OF NOTICE: July 28, 2004<BR><BR>POSITION:
Full-time Regular Administrative*<BR>(2 positions
available)<BR><BR><BR>RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide direct counseling and
problem resolution for<BR>students and parents regarding the financial aid
application process and<BR>eligibility criteria. Review student financial
aid records for completeness<BR>and compliance with regulations, rules and
guidelines; apply guidelines in<BR>preparing student records for awarding and/or
modification of awards.<BR>Advise students and parents on application process,
eligibility criteria and<BR>all documents needed for consideration of financial
aid; clarify rules and<BR>regulations for students and parents. Monitor
expenditures to ensure<BR>student eligibility per donor's criteria; return
unused portions of funds to<BR>donors. Schedule and instruct informational
workshops on campus, at<BR>extension sites and area high schools.
Collaborates in the formulation,<BR>review and implementation of college-wide
Financial Aid Office guidelines<BR>and
procedures.<BR>QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>Required: Bachelor's degree and one year
professional experience in<BR>financial aid, excellent written and oral
communication skills, ability to<BR>establish and maintain effective working
relationships with students,<BR>employees, other departments of the college and
community organizations.<BR>Preferred: Experience in higher
education.<BR><BR>LOCATION: Westminster Campus<BR><BR>STARTING
SALARY: $27,527 - $30,968<BR><BR>CLOSING DATE: All application
materials must be received by 4:00 p.m. on<BR>August 6, 20004, in the Human
Resources Office.<BR><BR>STARTING DATE: August 2004<BR><BR>SELECTION
PROCESS: Preliminary screening will be made on the basis of<BR>completed
application package submitted by candidate. Completed application<BR>package
includes: letter of interest detailing experience as related to
the<BR>position, FRCC Application for Exempt Employment, resume, and an
unofficial<BR>copy of college/university transcripts. If hired, official
college<BR>transcripts will be required. Selected applicants will be invited by
the<BR>screening committee for interviews. All application materials become
the<BR>property of Front Range Community College and cannot be copied.
