Dear Colleague:

As President of SWASFAA, I want to remind you of an important change in
the structure of our association. In January, 2005, SWASFAA membership
will be based on institutional rather than individual membership.

The new dues structure is intended to be revenue neutral as the motivation
for the change in structure was not an increase in revenue. This
change will allow for consistency of membership and greater participation
of individuals who may otherwise not attend the annual conference.

ANNUAL DUES: 2005
January 1 through December 31

Institutional Membership
1-3,000 enrollment
$50
3,001-7,000 enrollment $75
7,001 and above
$100
Associate Membership $150
Individual Membership $35

SWASFAA is a valuable resource and the dues your institution will be asked
to pay is not only far less than most professional organizations your institution
currently belongs to but is well worth the investment.

Benefits of SWASFAA membership include:

Regulatory and technical training through seminars and
conferences

Professional development through seminars and committee
involvement

Legislative representation

NASFAA representation through elected officers

Networking

I would be much less effective at my institution were it not for my involvement
in state, regional and national associations. Each organization provides
unique benefits for its members. SWASFAA is a conduit to help you
think outside the box and learn from other professionals within your region.

Please find attached your 2005 institutional membership application. If
you have any questions, please contact our SWASFAA Membership Chair, Dana
Akins at dakins@grayson.edu. As always, you may contact me directly
at (501) 450-5243. I will be happy to assist you in any way that
I can.

Sincerely,

Cheryl C. Lyons
