be aware that, at this point, we are unable to confirm that we will
have sufficient federal funds for OHLAP-Plus awards in 2005-06 [OHLAP-Plus is
separate from regular OHLAP awards. We anticipate full funding for regular
OHLAP awards in 2005-06.]. OHLAP-Plus is funded from federal GEAR UP funds
and we are working with our GEAR UP staff to determine the availability
of funding for 2005-06. </SPAN><SPAN class=288532818-29042005>We
apologize for the late notice of this issue. We realize that some
institutions have already packaged some students for OHLAP-Plus for the fall
200<SPAN class=923274520-29042005>5</SPAN> semester. Please do not package
OHLAP-Plus awards for any more students until we can confirm the availability of
funds. </SPAN></FONT></FONT></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN
class=288532818-29042005></SPAN></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=288532818-29042005>Our records indicate
that about 700 OHLAP students<SPAN class=923274520-29042005> (out of a total of
about 9,000)</SPAN> received OHLAP-Plus in the current year<SPAN
class=923274520-29042005> of 2004-05</SPAN> and we expect that <SPAN
class=923274520-29042005>slightly </SPAN>less than 500 would continue to receive
the award in 200<SPAN class=923274520-29042005>5-06</SPAN>. As you may
recall, OHLAP-Plus has been in the process of being phased out.
Eligibility is restricted to:</SPAN></FONT></DIV>
<UL>
<LI><FONT face=Arial><FONT size=2><SPAN class=288532818-29042005>OHLAP
students graduating high school in 2002 or before; and</SPAN> </FONT></FONT>
<LI><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=288532818-29042005>who have an EFC of
$1000 or less</SPAN></FONT></LI></UL>

any potential OHLAP-Plus students you may have on your campus. If they
have questions or concerns, please refer them to the OHLAP office at (405)
