<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>UT San Antonio is seeking applications for the
position of Director Student Financial Aid Services. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>The Director of Student Financial Aid Services
reports directly to the Assistant Vice President for Financial Aid and
Enrollment Services and is responsible for the supervision and oversight of
federal, state and institutional financial aid. For the 2004-05 award
year, UTSA disbursed over $130,000,000 in federal, state and institutional
financial aid. The Director is responsible for supervising 20 team members
including training and outreach, scholarships, federal and state programs and
student processing and awarding. Duties include: oversight of state,
federal and institutional programs to ensure compliance with regulations and
efficiency; assisting the Assistant Vice President with the daily operations of
financial aid and scholarships as well as developing, interpreting and
implementing federal, state and institutional regulations, policies and
procedures that pertain to financial aid functions; assisting the Assistant Vice
President with oversight controls for risk management plan; serving as the
immediate contact and liaison for other departments regarding financial aid
issues.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree,
(Master's preferred); four years experience in financial aid with at least two
years in a supervisory role; demonstrated experience in the administration and
oversight of federal, state and institutional financial aid to include
scholarships, grants, work-study and student loans. The candidate should
also have demonstrated experience in quality customer service and experience in
compliance and risk management as it pertains to financial aid programs.
SCT Banner experience is preferred.</FONT></P>
