<DIV><BR>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Vice Chancellor
for <BR>Enrollment Management, provides leadership for activities designed to
<BR>attract, recruit, and enroll students in keeping with the enrollment
<BR>goals of the University. The Director of Admissions is responsible for
<BR>the overall planning, management, and administration in the Office of
<BR>Admissions including developing and implementing an annual recruitment
<BR>plan to enroll the number and quality of students necessary to meet
<BR>university goals. The Director works collaboratively with the <BR>Enrollment
Management Team and other campus constituents in bringing <BR>about cutting-edge
strategies, tactics, and technology in achieving <BR>enrollment targets. Duties
include supervising, leading, and motivating <BR>a staff of approximately
twelve, including both full and part-time <BR>employees; overseeing all aspects
of the recruitment process; improving <BR>office procedures to focus on
quality/customer service; and using the <BR>Banner system and web-based
technology to improve efficiency. Other <BR>duties as assigned. </DIV>
<DIV><BR>QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have the following
<BR>qualifications: a combination of experience and academic credentials
<BR>that would predict a high probability of immediate success in achieving
<BR>the duties and responsibilities of the position. Bachelor?s degree
<BR>required, Master?s or Ph.D. strongly preferred. The successful <BR>candidate
must have a proven record of success in admissions and <BR>knowledge of
financial aid and scholarship marketing strategies; <BR>experience in growing
enrollment in new markets; demonstrated success <BR>with using technology in
recruitment, and the ability to think <BR>strategically to build a
student-centered operation focused on <BR>exceptional customer service. Must
have a demonstrated comfort and <BR>competency in analyzing and using data to
model recruitment, ?Banner? <BR>experience a plus, but not required. Must have
excellent written and <BR>oral communications skills. Demands of the position
require excellent <BR>human relation skills in dealing with employees, students,
the public, <BR>and other organizations; a positive and professional attitude,
and a <BR>hands-on management style that incorporates the ability to recruit,
<BR>train, grow, and motivate staff. </DIV>
