<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>The Colorado School of Mines in
Golden, Colorado, invites nominations and applications for the position of
Assistant Director of Financial Aid. CSM is a public institution offering
bachelors, masters and Ph.D. degrees. The enrollment is approximately 2,400
undergraduates and 800 graduate students.</FONT></P>
<P><B><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>Responsibilities</FONT></B><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>: As part of the enrollment management team, including the
Directors of Enrollment Management, Admissions, and Financial Aid, the Assistant
Director will participate in providing service for undergraduate students.
The Assistant Director will work with the Director and Associate Director on the
implementation of policies and procedures. The Assistant Directors, Technical
Analyst and Office Manager all have decision-making authority in their own
areas. </FONT></P>
<P><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>Other specific responsibilities
include, but are not limited to: counseling of current students and families,
awarding need-based assistance to students and a portion of the undergraduate
student population, performing verification and loan certification.</FONT></P>
<P><B><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>Qualifications</FONT></B><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000>: Qualifications for the position
include a bachelor's degree, 2 years of financial aid</FONT> <FONT face="Times New Roman">experience in combination with demonstrated leadership
and supervisory skills, and the ability to manage complex</FONT><FONT face="Times New Roman" color=#000000> and varying tasks. The successful
applicant must possess superior communications abilities and have experience
making presentations. Prior experience with the SIS+ or Banner computer
systems and EDE a plus.</FONT></P>
