<DIV><BR> Position Opening Butler University <BR><BR>The Butler
University Office of Financial Aid is announcing <BR>an opening for
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of Financial Aid. <BR><BR>This position will work with
new student scholarships and <BR>awarding, counseling all students and
liaison with the <BR>admissions the office. <BR><BR><BR>BUTLER UNIVERSITY
<BR>OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID <BR><BR>ASSISTANT DIRECTOR of Financial
Aid - new student <BR>services <BR><BR>• Counsel with
new students and parents <BR>• Assists the coordinator of new
student services<BR>• Review applications for financial aid,
perform <BR>verification, and review appeals<BR>• Coordinates the
awarding of academic scholarships <BR>and special awards programs (with
Associate Director and <BR>Director)<BR>• Liaisons with JCFA for
all student awards<BR>• Assist with the administration and
packaging of <BR>university funded merit and need based aid for new
students<BR>• Assist with statistical analysis and monitoring of
<BR>institutional aid programs <BR>• Assists with the development
of publications for <BR>new students <BR>• Maintain the
office’s web page and related material <BR>• Liaison with
publications for printing new student <BR>material <BR>•
Liaison with admissions and provides counselors <BR>with information about
student aid <BR>• Monitors status and review of clean up cases for
<BR>new students <BR>• Makes presentations to groups about student
aid at <BR>Butler<BR>• Assist with mainframe computer application
work, as <BR>it relates to processing aid applications for new
students<BR><BR>Requirements; <BR>• Bachelors degree<BR>•
2-4 years experience in enrollment manage, <BR>preferably at an
independent college (financial aid or <BR>admissions) <BR>•
Experience working with new students and their <BR>parents, counseling and
presenting college financing <BR>options <BR>• Experience working
with scholarship selection, <BR>review of data, analysis and reviewing results
and yields<BR>• Experience working with data, modeling and
<BR>reporting and automated systems<BR>• Public speaking and
presenting to large and small <BR>groups or group settings. <BR>•
General knowledge of student aid <BR>• Self starter, attention to
detail, well organized, <BR>problem solving skills, excellent communications
