Duties:</SPAN></B><SPAN
style="FONT-SIZE: 11pt; COLOR: black; FONT-FAMILY: Tahoma"> Design and implement
client-server hardware/software systems. Knowledge of basic and routine
programming languages used. Use a variety of hardware/software platforms,
PC and IBM mainframes, Windows 2000, Microsoft Access and Culprit.
Correctly implement student functions into systems and develop solutions to
problems. Monitor and test solutions to ensure accuracy. Design and
maintain web pages using HTML, Visual Basic, Java and JavaScript. Consult
with users, managers and staff regarding capabilities of current systems and the
development of new systems. Serve as technical liaison. Attend
meetings, as well as serve on the SIS Technical Team. In collaborative
effort with the Office of Registrar manage, train and troubleshoot the imaging
system. In collaboration with Director, create proposals for acquiring and
upgrading technology items. Diagnose and resolve problems related to
client/server systems. Research and experiment to keep up to date with
client/server programming, associated technology and the market
environment. Provide information/guidance relative to future
applications. Evaluate hardware and software used in financial aid
client/server systems. Plan and recommend hardware and software
acquisitions. Perform installations and upgrades while providing
training. Contact and consult with vendors.</SPAN></P>
