$52,977.60<BR>Location: (Polk County) College Student Aid, Des Moines<BR>Duties:
Applications will be accepted only from individuals possessing Selective
Certification requirements for Student Loan/Financial Aid Administration and
Mass Communications. Develop, coordinate, and provide oversight of communication
projects such as agency annual report, marketing and promotional materials,
press releases, newsletters, State Fair, and all agency publications in
collaboration with Division Director. Develop strategies to refine, develop, and
promote agency products and services. Duties will include some market research
of products and services, development and maintenance of Web site, development
of promotional materials, presentations, and booth exhibits, and coordination of
internal and external communications that impact customer confidence in the
agency. Assist Division Director by preparing, coordinating, and assisting with
oversight of marketing contract, agency advisory groups, and other meetings that
promote the agency mission. Requires effective interaction with selected
marketing firm and internal and external clients. Provide training as needed to
college and university officials and lenders. Limited overnight travel is
required. Remain knowledgeable and current on all pertinent rules and
regulations for all programs administered by the Commission. Other duties
include: working with media, answering questions about communications projects,
distributing and balancing workload, and other duties as assigned. Prepare for
and attend various events sponsored by the Commission, the semi-annual Iowa
Association of Financial Aid Administrators (IASFAA) conferences, and other
public meetings representing the Commission in an effective, courteous, and
professional manner. Prepare accurate and professional training materials for
agency clients and respond in writing to written and verbal requests for
assistance.<BR>Minimum Qualifications: The equivalent of six years of full-time
economic, environmental, social, health care or agricultural program experience
(at the local, regional statewide, or national level) requiring knowledge in the
following: program content, related community resources, user problems, and
program/treatment methods</FONT> <FONT face=Tahoma>–</FONT><FONT
face="Times New Roman"> demonstrated by one of these types of work; program
counselor, program administrator, program trainer, technical assistant or
program consultant. In addition, a minimum of twelve semester hours of
education, six months of experience, or a combination thereof, in Student
