The Director lends direct <BR>support to the Assistant Provost and Executive
Director of <BR>Student Financial Aid for the management and general
<BR>administration of student financial aid information <BR>systems for the
delivery of all financial aid services. <BR>Works in a collaborative management
style with the <BR>directors and the Asst. Provost and Exec. Dir. for the
<BR>overall running of the department. Provides leadership, <BR>direction, and
supervision of the Information Technology <BR>Office and provides leadership and
direction to the <BR>Financial Aid Team in the SIMS Office. Provides leadership
<BR>and support to the Assoc/Asst Directors in their planning, <BR>development
and coordination of activities to meet both <BR>department and program
objectives. Responsibilities to <BR>include strategic planning, analysis,
evaluations and <BR>determining results; new program development; personnel
<BR>management; and, audit reviews and compliance. Accepts <BR>committee
appointments and leadership roles, and carries <BR>out other executive
administrative responsibilities as <BR>directed. Responsible for all Information
Technology <BR>functions of the Department, including planning, <BR>budgeting,
acquisition, and development of complex <BR>computer systems needed in the
Department of Student <BR>Financial Aid. Provide leadership, supervise, and
direct <BR>the Information Technology Office staff in the planning,
<BR>installation, operation, and effective utilization of all <BR>information
systems including: the development and <BR>installation of computer equipment
and applications <BR>necessary for the delivery of services to all Department
<BR>customers, and the availability, confidentiality, and <BR>integrity of the
Department's Local Area Network, E-mail <BR>System, and web services available
to students and staff, <BR>including computer labs for student access to
financial <BR>aid programs. Other duties as required.
<BR><BR>Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree <BR>required.
Minimum 8 years of information technology <BR>experience and progressive
responsibility in technology-<BR>related projects and supervision of employees.
Some <BR>experience working with research and analysis. Must have <BR>technical
understanding and experience with various <BR>computer systems, including
automated student information <BR>systems. Requires ability to multi-task and
work <BR>cooperatively with others. <BR><BR>Preferred Education and
Experience: Prefer experience <BR>with imaging, implementation of new
systems, and detailed <BR>research and analysis of educational issues. Prefer
<BR>experience in student financial aid at a higher education <BR>institution.
Experience in strategic planning, <BR>development, and management of technology
