<DIV>The University of Kansas Office of Student Financial Aid
(OSFA)<BR>announces the following vacancies. <BR><BR>Assistant
Director<BR><BR>General: The Assistant Director assists the Director in
support of the<BR>financial aid programs administered by the Office of Student
Financial<BR>Aid. The Assistant Director also works with the Associate
Director and<BR>Student Information Services (SIS) to test new functionality
and<BR>upgrades to the Student Administration Financial Aid Module and
to<BR>create and schedule production reports. This position
coordinates<BR>office computer support, data collection and analysis, and
maintains the<BR>OSFA web site. <BR><BR>Required
Qualifications:<BR>Bachelor's Degree and one year experience in information
technology<BR>(obtained through college coursework/projects or work
experience).<BR>Technical understanding and demonstrated experience utilizing
computer<BR>software such as SAS, Excel and Access to extract statistical
data.<BR>Knowledge of web design principles, including familiarity with
web<BR>accessibility and usability norms and guidelines. Experience
developing<BR>and maintaining a complex web site. Demonstrated strong analytical
and<BR>organizational skills. Demonstrated effective written and
oral<BR>communication skills. <BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications:<BR>Master's
degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Management<BR>Information
Systems or related field with strong technical background<BR>and
experience. Experience working with an integrative student<BR>information
system, ideally PeopleSoft or Oracle. Experience in<BR>financial aid or
closely related area. <BR><BR>Program Specialist (Financial Aid
Counselor)<BR><BR>General: The Financial Aid Counselor provides quality
financial aid<BR>counseling to students, prospective students, and families and
assists<BR>the Director, Associate Directors, and Assistant Directors with
various<BR>federal and state financial aid program responsibilities.
<BR><BR>Required Qualifications: <BR>Bachelor's Degree. Demonstrated
effective written and oral communication<BR>skills, including conducting group
presentations. Advising experience in<BR>higher education. Experience
working with an integrative student<BR>information system, ideally PeopleSoft or
Oracle. <BR><BR>Preferred Qualifications: <BR>Work experience in KU
financial aid. Demonstrated interpersonal skills<BR>for working with a
diverse student population. Demonstrated experience<BR>in problem
solving. Familiarity with KU. Familiarity with KU Peoplesoft<BR>Student
