agenda item from yesterday's meeting of the Oklahoma State Regents. The
item was includes summary information from our 2004-05 Annual Financial Aid
Survey. For the first time the survey also included information from the
independent colleges that participate in the Oklahoma Tuition Equalization Grant
program. Also attached are a few powerpoint slides that were used at

the most attention is the continuing significant increase in the annual volume
of student debt, with the most dramatic increases coming in the past 3-4
years as the Pell Grant remained flat and college expenses kept

includes some information on a recent study ranking Oklahoma #2 among the 50
states in affordability of 4-year public college education (based on 2002-03

<DIV><FONT face=Arial size=2><SPAN class=612251820-30062006>Finally, there is
also a little information on the new federal ACG and SMART grants (this
information is a little dated because the agenda item was prepared for the
Regents' May meeting which was then cancelled due to the legislative impasse on
