The bill now moves to the Senate. The bill was passed without questions or debate. The bill was also amended of the floor, without questions or debate, to include language that would require state system institutions to offer students needing remediation a choice between taking a regular non-credit remedial course or a credit-earning course that also provides the remedial support (see the text of the bill for the actual language of the amendment in Section 2 of the bill).
