<p class="MsoNormal">There are two letters circulating on the hill in both the Senate and the House in support of the Campus-Based Aid Programs, including Perkins Loans. The deadline for co-signers of this letter is noon on
<b>March 17,</b> so please contact your Senators or Representatives as soon as possible to urge them to sign on. A copy of the letter<span style="color:#1F497D">s</span> and a listing of contact information for Senate and House education staffers is attached

<p class="MsoNormal">The effort is led by Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY). The letter is addressed to Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO), Chairman on the Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, as well as Senator Patty Murray (D-WA),
Ranking Member of the same subcommittee in the Senate. The effort in the House is led by Rep. Richard Hannah (R-NY) and Rep. Joe Crowley (D-NY), along with two of Perkins’ strongest champions, Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) and Rep. Mark Pocan (D-WI). The letter
is addressed to Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK), Chairman of the House Labor-HHS-Education Appropriations Subcommittee, and Rosa DeLauro (D-CT), his Democratic counterpart.
