have discussions with Speaker McCall’s staff about HB 3591. Currently, the bill contains “last dollar” language stating that OKPromise awards “shall be made only after all other grants and scholarships received by an eligible applicant are exhausted.” However,
the bill does not specify the costs to which grants and scholarship awards might be limited (currently, OKPromise awards are subject to “cost of attendance” limits). We’ll try to keep you updated on any developments related to this bill and HB3592. The next
legislative deadline is Thursday, March 15 when bills must be passed on the floor of their house of origin.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
