We are looking at beginning a few year-round programs starting in 2023 (a few grad and one undergrad) and contemplating a trimester setup. I am weighing the pro's and con's have defining our Academic Year as three-required trimesters vs. defining it as two
trimesters with the third being optional. </div>

Can anyone confirm if I am on the right thinking pattern here?</div>

If we define it as three-required trimesters than the loans would be equally disbursed 1/3, 1/3, and 1/3, which seems to benefit those students and prevent them having to hold onto spring disbursed funds to pay for summer, for example. </div>

However, if we define it as two-required trimesters with the third being optional, our undergrad programs could be eligible for 150% Pell in that scenario allowing them a greater benefit of Pell grant funds if they do go year-round. Given this information,
Pell students would benefit from this setup while loan-only students really would not. </div>
