<p class="MsoNormal">This afternoon, the Legislature’s Joint Committee on Appropriations and Budget passed HB 2885 which would appropriate $9 million in supplemental funding for the 2022-23 costs of the new Oklahoma National Guard Educational Assistance Program
that was implemented in the fall 2022 semester at state system colleges and universities. The joint committee is made up of both House and Senate members with the members of each house voting separately – the House members voted 31 aye, 0 nay and the Senate
members voted 20 aye, 0 nay. The bill will next go to the House floor for consideration.
