[Octm] Math Literacy Week

Digi-Block, Inc is championing a Math Literacy Week to focus on math skills and proficiency (K-5).  Math Literacy Week will be October 7-11, 2002.  They have created a website (www.mathliteracy.com) for lesson plans, student activities, family night activities, etc.

They propose the following schedule:

Monday -- Kickoff Day
Tuesday - Story Problem Day
Wednesday -- Math in Daily Life
Thursday -- Connected Literature Day
Friday -- Math Party Day

Sounds like a great idea to me.   Stacey
