At SWOSU, we use example one, based on the UDS definition: "enter the total number of actual clock hours the student will expend in attending this course during the term."

Subject: [OK-AIR] Calculation of Student Clock Hours

Hello all,

Diane Penner from NWOSU asked me about this today. What is the correct way to report Student Clock Hours on Record E?
Example is a 6 hour nursing class that meets 3 hours 1 day a week for 16 weeks.

Actual hours attended X no of days X no of weeks? 3 X 1 X 16 = 48 student clock hours
Course unit X no of days X no of weeks? 6 X 1 X 16 = 96 student clock hours

How do you calculate this at your institution ?

Thank you for your help with this.
