Pay Rate:

Salary placement within the B25 grade is dependent on credentials and experience; excellent benefits (employer paid health and life insurance, 21 paid holidays), typical work week Mon-Thurs. 7:30 am-5:00 pm and Fri. 8:00 a.m.-12 noon.

Ability to traverse office space and campus, fine dexterity, handling various items large and small, lifting up to 20 lbs., vision, and ability to communicate with co-workers, faculty, staff, and students.

Job Summary/Basic Function:

Brazosport College, a two-time Top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and Achieving the Dream Leader College, seeks a dynamic and innovative individual to join the College as an Assistant Research Analyst. Reporting to the Director of Institutional Research, the Assistant Research Analyst prepares periodic reports for external agencies such as IPEDS, Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Dept. of Education, Texas Legislative Budget Board, Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and others; provides notification and assistance to areas that contribute data, checks all submissions to ensure accuracy, and submits completed reports to the Director of IR and the Dean of PIER for final approval and submission; administers all surveys, including CCSSE, SENSE, Noel Levitz, Course and Instructor Evaluations; prepares standard internal reports such as the Fact Book, ISD reports, and KPI reports as well as specialty reports as needed; serves as system administrator for Class Climate and provides technical support and supervision for users of the system; manages all internal data requests submitted through the request system: sets due dates for responses, extracts data and prepares graphs and tables, provides an explanatory narrative, requests assistance from colleagues when needed; assists with the preparation of assessment reports for academic programs, including the preparation of materials for program review.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a focus in social science, public administration, statistics, or similar fields; a quantitative emphasis is desirable; must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to resolve complex issues; must have excellent computer skills, including advanced use of Excel, proficient with data entry, constructing timelines, and survey creation, and proficient use of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; must be detail-oriented and be able to plan and organize as well as set priorities and meet deadlines; must have math, statistics, and analytical skills to evaluate data and prepare reports.
