Our Lady of the Lake University-San Antonio, Texas, has an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Officer/ Title IX Coordinator. The Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator oversees the university's compliance program and serves as an expert in federal and state regulations and policies that govern all aspects of higher education. In particular, the Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator supports the university's efforts to comply with its legal, regulatory and ethical obligations. The Compliance Officer/Title IX Coordinator also has direct responsibility for discrimination compliance, is the university's Title IX Coordinator, ADA/Rehabilitation Act Coordinator and Age Discrimination Act Coordinator. They are responsible for reviewing proposed grant and contract applications; working with grant and contract managers to identify compliance requirements; and for periodic review of grants and contracts to assure compliance. They promote Our Lady of the Lake University's code of ethics, core values, and other policies.

The Requirements are:

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1.  Knowledge of federal regulatory grant and contract requirements and regulations.
  2.  Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  3.  Ability to think critically, and analytically.
  4.  Well versed in various desktop and mobile device software applications.
  5.  Ability to work independently, as well as with others in all levels of the University.
  6.  Familiarity with FERPA and HIPAA privacy and security regulations.
Education and Experience Requirements:

  1.  Juris Doctorate (JD) degree. (Required)
  2.  At least 3 years of experiences with federal regulatory compliance issues, in a university, college, health care or corporate setting.
