INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH ANALYST - Job Number: 200786

Organization: Institutional Research & Rep.
Job Location: Oklahoma-Norman-Norman Campus
Schedule: Full-time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am -5pm
Salary Range: $50,000 - $55,000 based on experience

Job Description---

IRR provides data support for University planning and administration. This is an entry-level institutional research position, tasked with data gathering, analysis, reporting, and records management. While prior IR experience is a plus, it is not required for entry-level work. Critical thinking skills, clear and concise writing style, graphic design abilities, social media management, and/or higher education work experience are all potential assets in this position.

Job Requirements---
Required Education: Bachelor Degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND:
0-18 months experience in data analysis or institutional research activity

Skills:
Advanced Excel skills with ability to build and manipulate spreadsheets
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Detail oriented for accuracy of data and information
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines
Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff
Able to produce reports and complete work within deadlines
Strong initiative to solve problems
Strong written and oral communication skills
Must be able to perform basic data analysis
Must be able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

Certifications: None
Advertised Physical Requirements: Must be able to communicate effectively, engage in repetitive motion, hear, see, and sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Departmental Preferences: Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Information /Library Science, Statistics or related field
Supervision: No Supervisory Duties
